When I was little, I used to stare at my uncle's hands to learn how to bring all that life into a piece of paper with only a pencil or charcoal. As I was growing up, every time I looked at trees, clouds or even people I felt this burning desire to make a painting of them. Natural elements, like different types of clouds, forests with their endless greenery, and animals with all their color combinations and textures, were always a source of inspiration and beauty to me. Now, after many years of learning, training, and hard work I feel quite confident and comfortable in expressing my thoughts and feelings as paintings. Living in and taking inspiration from beautiful British Columbia, a place where people are turned into lovers and artists, I still find myself mesmerised by watching the dance of colors on the canvas, like a child staring at the hands of an artist at work.
